1. Press Alt+Ctrl+Del from your keyboard and go to the task manager.
2. Under Processes Tab close all the QuickBooks processes.
3. To “Start QuickBooks in Safe Mode” press and hold the Ctrl (Control Key) and then double click the Program Icon
4. Don’t leave Control Key (Ctrl) till the time QuickBooks application launches and you see the “No Company File Open Screen”. Release the key of the QuickBooks open fine. The close and open application normally 2-3 times to ensure the problem is fixed before you attempt to open the company file.
